WEDDING CAKE ROCK

Wedding Cake Rock was one of the most beautiful places me and Cissy have shot at for the blog so far. Its milky smooth surface is the result of iron in the sandstone. With neat parallel layers, it does resemble the layers of a white wedding cake

A few weeks ago we took off our bow ties and bunny ears and put on our hiking shoes to make the trek to Wedding Cake Rock. But as style bloggers we of course packed some amazing clothes to change into when we got there.

We were lucky to have our photographer Chris with us, as he pretty much navigated us there, fed us food which we forgot to bring, and forced us to keep walking. The trip down to Wedding Cake Rock was not actually too bad. We drove down to Bundeena and then walked for about an hour south. The path was muddy and wet as it was raining the night before. But mud and dirt never stopped us from getting that photo.

With neat parallel layers, it does resemble the layers of a white wedding cake. It was stunning to see. And now sad to see being fenced off now.

I would definitely recommend a trip down to Bundeena. It is about an hours hike to Wedding Cake Rock and worth the walk. And while you are at Bundeena, there are some quiet and beautiful north facing beaches to visit as well.
