MBFWA RESORT 19'
DAY THREE

So it's that time of year again here, for one week Australian and International fashion crowd like the stylish flock of birds they are, descend upon carriageworks to see what the designers are offering for the resort season everyday here on thepasidiaries.com, with day two done and dusted it's now time for day three.

Day two of the resort shows was pretty fabulous from the tailored menswear that was offered to the men who have a thing for fashion by designer Blair Archibald and beautiful pieces that looked like they dropped out of a fairy tale from the design duo that is Macgraw.

NEXT GEN
Every year I look forward to the St George-Next Gen an initiative sponsored by St.George Bank that showcases the next big names in Australian Fashion some of who include Camilla and Marc who opened Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia this year. Three of my favorites from this years shows would have to be Rachel O'Brien who showed under her label OF RO, Alissa Hammoud who showed under her label named Alissar.H and Chris Ran Lin who showed in my opinion one of the best menswear collections shown at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia ever.

ALISSAR.H BY ALISSA HAMMOUD
What I loved about this collection is that each look was layered to perfection and her use of texture and one my favorite materials denim.

OF RO BY RACHEL O'BRIEN
Another designer who I loved because of her use of texture and embroidery on each piece in her collection.

CHRIS RAN LIN BY CHRIS RAN LIN
Pretty much one of my favorites from the entire week is Chris Ran Lin, I fell in love with this menswear designer and his innovative use of australian wool in his menswear ever since I saw him at Melbourne's version of fashion week VAMFF (Virgin Australia Fashion Week.) Like his fellow designers who showed I also loved Chris's use of color and texture.

DEADLY PONIES
The New Zealand brand known for their signature deerskin bags worn by major celebrities such as Lorde and Charlize Theron made a dramatic Fashion Week Australia debut. We lucky guests who were invited into this small space came face to face with a velvet curtain which was dropped to reveal models standing in the center surrounded by bags on stands, one by one the models like ethereal creatures walked up to the selection of bags on display and walking them down the runway. What I loved about the collection was the colors of the bags I thought the choices were rich and offered something different then what is already on the market at the moment.

CLIENT LIASON

The first collection by popular music group Client Liason as you can see in the images below and if you watched my insta-stories at the show which was held at the International Terminal was 80's and iconic australian style through and through. Highlights from the collection for the guys were the printed suits and the long stripe lounge coats, and for the girls the gold skirts and monogrammed crew necks.
