MBFWA RESORT 19'
DAY FOUR

So it's that time of year again here, for one week Australian and International fashion crowd like the stylish flock of birds they are, descend upon carriageworks to see what the designers are offering for the resort season everyday here on thepasidiaries.com.

Day four of the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Resort 19' shows and so fair I have loved the resort offerings of Bianca Spender, Macgraw and next gen with special mention of new-comer Chris Ran Lin who showed in the Next Gen show this year at carriageworks I am hoping to get an interview with, so keep your fingers crossed.

ACTIVE

As you would expect from the Active Resort 19' show at fashion week the front row was filled lined with fit people who oohed and aahed over the essentials sportswear pieces that were paraded down the runway. To be honest I wasn't expecting much from active as it's active wear or athleisure wear as some people call it and so I was pleasantly surprised by two brands that showed. First up was P.E.Nation founded by designer and socialite Pip Edwards who shows some really cool menswear pieces that even I would wear, and secondly there was Koral who bought a little bit of 80's back to active-wear with a modern twist. Some highlights of the koral collection were the crop jackets and of course the added surprise of new model on the rise Delilah Bell the daughter of Lisa Rina soapstar and real housewife of Beverly Hills who walked the runway in Koral.

LEO+LIN
Walking into Leo & Lin with it's starry night time printed runway and light blue/purple lighting was like stepping to a bedtime story,  The collection features a-lot of feminine silhouettes and cuts in a sea of different colours that add to the whole moonlight theme that is apparent throughout the collection.

AKIRA
Known for his usual Japanese design aesthetic this season Akira's collection definitely has more of a sports luxe 80's feel to it with his brilliant use of metallic, prints and of course 80's classic wardrobe piece oversized sweatshirts, and tiered pastel organza dresses. Some of my fav pieces from the collection featured below would have to the white dress with the words "Vicious Beauty' printed on the waistband and of course the black and white oversized coat which if you see this Akira's pr team...please send me this coat.
