MBFWA RESORT 19'
MACGRAW

I have one rule which I live my life by ever since I could function on my own; I don't leave my house before nine in the morning unless it's, a) to work out, b) there's a paycheck to get or c) It's fashion week, can you guess which one was the reason I was up at six in the morning full face and outfit on chugging down my second almond milk latte? if you guessed c) fashion week you are right..

It's Tuesday morning I'm in the back of  a car enjoying the warm morning buzz two almond lattes can give a person. Wearing the darkest sunglasses I have and enjoying a chat about sunday's opening show with friend and journo at the popular fashion read 'The Fashion Journal' Bianca O'Neil  passing small house after house until the car drops us across from what could only be describes as a gothic estate right out of your favorite Bronte novel, which I became more in awe of as we passed up the long drive following the rest of the fashion pack all looking well heeled as always crowding around the Vittoria coffee cart trying to get their fix and milling around the entrance chatting away with each other waiting for the Macgraw resort 19 show to begin.

Being fashion week the invite may have said nine am but it didn't start till like quarter to ten, and boy was it worth the wait. This is my first time attending the Macgraw show at fashion week, now in their third year showing and from what I gathered from my fellow stylish attendees who I chatted to briefly after the show the sister design duo outdid themselves with this years production, which even though I haven't seen the past shows I have to agree with them that this years production was rather spectacular and worth getting up at the crack of dawn.

The mood for the resort collection which was shown as mentioned under the shade of the iconic Gothic mansion in darling point was like something out of a novel or fairytale which seemed to be a running theme this year with the few collections I saw almost like an escapism from reality hence why I probably had Tim Burton's remake  of Alice in Wonderland with Australian Actress Mia Wasikowska running through my head the entire show.

All in all I was really impressed by Macgraw Resort 19' collection, some highlights for me were the tailoring of each piece, the colour palette I really liked the chosen pastel colours and the long short sleeve coats which I kind of want on for myself to wear.
